
Cairo–Suez Highway Bridge (Km 26)
A case study in delivery.
A 153 m long, 60 m wide bridge with two approaches, eight ramps and five spans — outer spans in concrete box sections and intermediate spans in steel. Overall length including roads and ramps ~3,500 m.
PM for the contractor: planning, scheduling, time & cost control and reporting.
The brief.
Urban, industrial and infrastructure projects blend heavy civil works, complex utilities and stakeholder management across public authorities, operators and end-users. HG structured the delivery around clear interface control, disciplined procurement and constant reconciliation of cost, time and quality against the owner's public-service or production targets.
Execution.
Baseline programmes were sequenced by discipline — civil, MEP, utilities, roads and landscape — with rolling look-aheads and interface workshops between the owner, contractors and public authorities. Cost and progress control ran weekly against the master programme and cash-flow forecast.
Completion.
The asset was commissioned with full documentation, tested utilities and a controlled hand-over to the operating authority — with cost and time performance reported against the baseline throughout delivery.
